2020, a year of turmoil created by a pandemic, loss of employment, and tragedies such as home fires, Prince Henry Society New Bedford Chapter holds their annual Christmas Basket Drive to serve families in need. This year the Society provided 198 families with Christmas Baskets, made up of 3 boxes filled with can goods, perishable, non-perishable, meats and milk, to feed those in need from Social Programs, families of school children, to displaced families caused by a fire. Christmas Baskets filled with food for a family to cook a Christmas dinner; a basket compiled from donations through a can drive from the members and brother organization The Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick, Turkeys from the Fishing Industry, other food donations from surrounding businesses, and Prince Henry Society New Bedford Chapter.
